To further capitalize on the wildly successful season of Kobe Bryant, Nike is scheduled to release another tribute shoes to the 2008 NBA Most Valuable Player. Last month, an MVP edition of the Zoom Kobe III was released. This time, the MVP commemorative shoes will be even more limited; they are going to be hyperstrikes. The shoes will be named the Nike Big Nike, echoing Kobe’s big season. Fewer than 100 pairs of these will be given to Kobe’s close friends and family. They will not be released to the public.

The pair features micro-perforated leather on the tongue. The black based shoes also contain purple and gold accents and a big MVP logo on the heel.

A day ago we reported new pictures of the Nike Be True Dunk High Nylon featuring black and gold, more pictures of a similar model have been spotting online. A silver and red nylon Dunk High is seen above compared to the Vandal High that it was modeled after. However, the Dunk is altered a little bit, a silver grey upper is combined by a red swoosh and blue sole. Still no word on official release date. Via Ken Lu.

 

We reported the Bape Tracksta collection last week displaying their interpretation to Nike’s classic running models. Here’s a look at a pure white Tracksta featuring a leather upper. It is a little rare to see Bape release a model without bright and bold colors and designs, but a simple and clean design. Now available at Bape stores worldwide. Via hs.

 

Nike and the Jordan Brand have been known to send celebrities models before they release, a prime example is rapper Nelly who was spotted in the black Air Jordan Force Fusion VI not too long ago. Here’s a look at a white AJF6 that features a large Air Jordan VI tongue along with a perforated side panel, toe box and Air-sole unit. Here’s a look at two new Puma First Round Repeat’s dressed in single based colors combined with soft suede. The two First Rounds are in the form of solid grey and pink lacking a second color excluding the laces and gold foil. These Repeat models feature the words “First Round” embossed and written in an all over pattern. Both are now available at Flauge.

Both, the Quickstrike Nike Air Max 90 Chicago and Quickstrike Nike Air Max 95 Miami Vice will be sold at Southern California retailer, Blends. The Chicago edition Air Max 90 hasn’t really been discussed on the site, but its looks are rather amusing. Unfortunately, these Air Max 90’s lack a mesh toe box, but the accenting artwork adds a nice touch. Check with your local Blends location for availability.

Sneakersnstuff and New Balance are teaming once again to release a set of 577’s. The recent collaboration debuted in an interview conducted by Sneaker Freaker. Owners, Peter and Erik let their personalities transition on to the 577’s, the more subtle and classy black/white/3M 577 has been designed by Peter, while the multi-colored pair was designed by Erik. Release is slated for August 15th at SNS.

 

Designed after the traditional holiday, Chinese New Year, the 2009 Reebok Omni Lite Pump will sport red, black, and gold along with traditional Chinese designs. Along with a traditional color-way, Chinese lettering is printed along the upper along with gold accents.
